Skye Kennewell is an Australian artist who's practice explores the experience of dwelling in space both physically and through recollection and re-imagining the past.
Since completing a Bachelor of Fine Art (Painting) at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2005 Skye has participated in solo, group and collaborative projects at spaces including Kings ARI, Linden Centre for Contemporary Art, Seventh Gallery and Westspace, Inc.
Skye was part of the Melbourne artist collective SWARM, and has been a member of the Westspace Inc. programming committee. She is a past recipient of the Roger Kemp Memorial Award for VCA graduates, the Seventh Gallery New Work Grant, and the inaugural Linden Artists Studio Residency. In 2015 Skye undertook a studio residency at the Institut für Alles Mögliche in Berlin, Germany.
